The distribution of an estate in Islam is ordained by Allah in the Qur'an (Surah An-Nisa: 11, 12, and 176). This engine computes fixed shares (Ashab al-Furud), residuary entitlements (Asabah), classical exclusion rules (Hajb), and proportional adjustments (Awl and Radd).

Core Principles of Islamic Inheritance

1. Ashab al-Furud (Fixed Heirs)

Heirs specifically assigned Quranic fractions (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 2/3, 1/3, 1/6) by Allah: Mother, Father, Husband, Wife, Daughters, Grandmothers.

2. Asabah (Residuaries)

Male relatives (and daughters alongside sons) who inherit the remaining balance of the estate after all fixed Quranic heirs have received their shares.

3. Hajb (Exclusion Rules)

Closer relatives prevent further relatives from inheriting. For instance, the presence of a living son completely excludes brothers and sisters from inheriting.
